As part of Chevron Bangladesh’s Corporate Affairs – Social Investment team, I have been privileged to contribute to impactful initiatives that drive social change, sustainability, and inclusion. A core part of my work has been translating corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives into compelling narratives. I led the content development and visual design for Chevron Bangladesh’s In the Communities 2024—a report that highlights the company’s dedication to sustainability and community empowerment. To ensure authenticity and depth, I conducted on-site field visits, transcribed interviews, captured photography, and documented insights that showcase the real impact of Chevron’s initiatives.

Under the visionary leadership of Tanvir Mahtab, Founder & President of Army IBA Career Enhancement Club (CEC), The Career Bridge—CEC’s flagship program, evolved into a transformational platform that bridges the gap between students and industry leaders, providing invaluable career insights and opportunities.

A standout moment from The Career Bridge was the “Corpo-Connect” segment, which included an exclusive office visit to Nagad. CEC members engaged in an enriching discussion with Mr. Sheikh Aminur Rahman, Chief Marketing Officer of Nagad. His industry expertise and thoughtful guidance provided students with actionable advice on navigating and excelling in their careers.

Further enriching the experience, Ms. Smita Aparna and Mr. Salahuddin Mohammed Yousuf delivered inspiring speeches, offering fresh perspectives on career advancement and professional growth.

This visit marked another milestone in Army IBA CEC’s mission to empower students, equipping them with practical knowledge, industry exposure, and the confidence to pursue their ambitions. Army IBA Career Enhancement Club (CEC) continues to make waves with its flagship program, “The Career Bridge,” as its latest “Corpo-Connect” segment was featured on Sharenews24. The feature highlights the club’s transformative visit to Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE)—the financial heartbeat of Bangladesh. This initiative, led by Tanvir Mahtab, Founder & President of CEC, aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to the capital market, bridging the gap between academia and the corporate sector.

Under the “Corpo-Connect” segment, the visit offered an in-depth understanding of market regulation, investor protection, and financial transparency. We sincerely thank Mr. Mohammad Asadur Rahman, Mr. Syed Al Amin Rahman, and Mr. Mohammad Milon Miah, whose expertise enriched our knowledge of how financial markets drive economic growth. One such initiative is “Positive Parenting with BWEN,” a transformative program designed by Chevron Bangladesh to support working parents in achieving a healthy work-life balance. The session featured esteemed experts Dr. Shusama Reza (MBBS, M.D., Parenting Coach, LifeSpring Limited) and Dr. Sayedul Ashraf (MBBS – Dhaka Medical College, MD – BSMMU, Lead Psychiatrist, LifeSpring Limited), whose insights provided invaluable guidance on navigating the intersection of professional and parental responsibilities.

Through their expertise, participants gained a deeper understanding of parenting strategies, mental well-being, and workplace inclusivity, making this initiative a crucial step toward building supportive corporate environments. By collaborating with industry leaders and professionals, I continue to advocate for meaningful change, ensuring that diversity and inclusion are not just concepts but integral parts of corporate success.

At Chevron Bangladesh, I had the privilege of playing a key role in a landmark initiative—the launch of the company’s official LinkedIn channel. This step wasn’t just about creating another corporate page; it was about crafting a dynamic storytelling platform that amplifies Chevron’s impact beyond the boardroom.

Through this initiative, we positioned Chevron Bangladesh as a thought leader in the energy sector, highlighting its corporate social responsibility efforts, sustainability projects, and industry innovations. By curating engaging content, aligning digital strategies with corporate values, and fostering meaningful interactions, we transformed LinkedIn into a bridge between Chevron and its stakeholders—employees, industry experts, and the broader community.

This milestone marked a new era of corporate communication, where Chevron’s legacy and future aspirations converge in the digital space. More than just a launch, it was a strategic move toward transparency, engagement, and long-term brand positioning in the evolving corporate landscape.

SSKS Clinics & Satellite Healthcare: Expanding Community Access

As part of Chevron Bangladesh’s “In the Communities 2024” report, I contributed to curating content, designed engaging layouts, and documented real-life insights through field visits, photography, and interviews to highlight Chevron’s impact on community healthcare.

Since 2006, SSKS Clinics in Karimpur & Shastipur have provided affordable healthcare, maternal and child services, chronic disease management, and preventive health education to underserved communities near the Bibiyana Gas Field.

To extend medical support further, SSKS Satellite Clinics operate across 12 locations, offering bi-monthly check-ups, diagnostic services, and emergency care, ensuring healthcare reaches even remote households. Community Service Providers (CSPs) facilitate access by distributing essential health supplies and mobilizing awareness efforts.

The impact is evident in stories like Laila Begum, a long-time CSP, who has opened her home for medical check-ups, fostering trust, unity, and improved healthcare accessibility for her community.

AUW Summer School: Empowering Future Women Leaders

As part of Chevron Bangladesh’s “In the Communities 2024” report, I curated content, designed layouts, and documented impactful stories highlighting Chevron’s role in empowering young women through education.

Since 2019, Chevron Bangladesh and AUW have collaborated to equip 261 female students with STEM and leadership skills through the AUW Summer School Program. In 2024, 85 outstanding students participated in a four-week curriculum covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Coding, and Public Health, alongside extracurricular activities.

A standout success story is Shah Jafrin Sultana from Dinarpur, Sylhet, who broke through social and financial barriers to claim the leadership prize and a full AUW scholarship. Her story is a testament to the power of education—showing that when young women are given the right opportunities, they don’t just succeed; they inspire generations to come.

Univenture Symposium 2023: Igniting Innovation & Entrepreneurship

On September 17, 2023, I had the privilege of orchestrating the “Univenture Symposium – An Intra-University Business & Startup Exhibition 2023” at Army IBA, Savar. This pioneering event transformed Army IBA Auditorium into a dynamic hub of innovation and entrepreneurship, providing a unique platform for student-led businesses and startups to connect, showcase, and thrive.

As the lead organizer, I collaborated with an exceptional team from the Army IBA Career Enhancement Club, whose dedication and efforts turned this vision into reality. The symposium highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit within our university, fostering meaningful connections and opportunities. Adding to the excitement, I had the honor of showcasing my ventures—Designated Duds, Doodle by Mahtab, and Artistry Clothing DHK, alongside other innovative student-led businesses.

The symposium was a resounding success, marked by enthusiasm, commendation, and a shared commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Witnessing the enthusiasm and support from attendees reaffirmed the importance of such initiatives in shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs.

As a Bootstrapper Founder & CEO, I built and scaled three innovative clothing startups—redefining Bangladesh’s fashion landscape through brand strategy, digital marketing, and customer-centric innovation.

Design Juices (2018-2020): An e-retail clothing line pioneering a pre-order model for customized fashion

Artistry Clothing DHK (2019-2023): Evolved from Design Juices, merging artistic expression with fashion for a culture-driven brand.

TanBro Wear (2021): Bangladesh’s first cloud budget-friendly clothing brand, offering free residence trials and a six-month color guarantee, recognized as a BIG 2021 Startup Project.

Scaling Blu & Maron’s Market Presence

As Trainee Managing Partner at Blu & Maron, I played a pivotal role in brand positioning, sales strategy, and market expansion. By expanding the product catalog by 25%, optimizing sales operations, order fulfillment, and invoice tracking, and managing digital marketing, influencer collaborations, and targeted ad campaigns, I successfully enhanced brand visibility and customer engagement.

My contributions to Blu & Maron’s Selects, Originals, and Market Space strengthened the brand’s identity, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for both local and international markets. Through data-driven strategies and innovative marketing initiatives, I helped establish a strong digital presence, drive revenue growth, and position Blu & Maron as a competitive player in the industry.

Elevating Army IBA Savar’s Brand & Admission Outreach

As Communication Manager for Army IBA Savar, I led the undergraduate admissions campaign’s brand marketing, PR, and media strategy. This campaign was critical in enhancing visibility and driving enrollment for the prestigious institution. Facilitated a strategic partnership with Through ED Limited, collaborated with bKash for seamless application transactions, and secured press coverage for Army IBA Savar. In addition, I managed media buying, campaign performance tracking, content production, team leadership, and media relations.

As a result of the campaign’s exceptional performance, I earned formal recognition from the Director General, Major General Mohammad Qamruzzaman, who acknowledged my contributions for exceeding expectations. This recognition validated my efforts and highlighted the power of strategic communications in achieving organizational goals.

Launching “Amar Bangladesh by Odd Signature” – A Tribute to the Nation

In 2021, as Brand Marketing & Communications Manager for ODD Signature (2M+ listeners), I spearheaded the Brand Strategy & Marketing for Amar Bangladesh, a monumental musical tribute marking Bangladesh’s 50th Victory Anniversary. This project was more than just a song; it was a storytelling-driven campaign designed to evoke national pride and foster cultural resonance.

From digital branding (IMDb, song profiling) to sponsorship acquisition, creative direction, and PR, crafted a strategic roadmap that amplified the song’s reach and impact. The launch was a resounding success, garnering widespread media attention and audience engagement. Through compelling brand storytelling, integrated marketing, and digital amplification, Amar Bangladesh became more than just a musical release—it became a symbol of cultural heritage and national celebration, reinforcing how branding and communication can shape and elevate national narratives.

Expanding the Global Reach of Quiz Mania 7 – An International TV Show

As a Sales & Marketing Intern of Quiz Mania 7 Worldwide at Accretive Media PTV Ltd, I played a key role in executing corporate meetings, marketing campaigns, and brand growth strategies to enhance the show’s international presence. My contributions were instrumental in enhancing brand visibility and strengthening strategic partnerships across South Asia. I identified cross-marketing opportunities, supported partnership formations, and assisted in sales performance reviews, ensuring the show maximized its reach and engagement. Additionally, I conducted in-depth market research, analyzed audience insights, and created daily client reports, which informed decision-making for marketing strategies.

Through my collaboration with Accretive Media PTV Ltd, I helped optimize media placements, ensuring maximum exposure for the show across digital and traditional platforms. My work contributed to positioning Quiz Mania 7 Worldwide as the largest global quiz contest, hosted by Nepal’s highest-paid actor, Rajesh Hamal, and broadcasted on Nepal Television (NTV).

As Project Manager Army IBA Sylhet, I led the branding, marketing, media relations, and digital strategy for the “JoinArmyIBA.Com” admissions portal, enhancing its digital presence. Consulted on brand positioning, collaborated with Nagad for secure payment integration, and secured press coverage in 56 newspapers within a week. Overseeing website development and cross-functional teams, including creative, payment, and call center operations, ensured a seamless user experience and impactful communication strategy.

My efforts earned recognition from Brigadier General Ejazur Rahman Choudhury, marking a significant milestone in Army IBA Sylhet’s digital transformation.

As the President of the Army IBA Career Enhancement Club, I had the honor of leading “The Career Boost”, a transformative workshop focused on CV and LinkedIn optimization, featuring Major Sirajus Salekin (Retd.), CEO of DARAPANA DIGITAL ACADEMY, who shared his 14 years of military experience and global industry expertise with our students. His insights on personal branding, career development, and leveraging digital platforms were invaluable, offering actionable strategies for standing out in today’s competitive job market.

The workshop equipped participants with the tools they need to craft standout CVs, optimize their LinkedIn profiles, and ultimately attract career opportunities. The session was graced by Professor Maj Gen Mohammad Quamruzzaman, Director General of Army IBA, and esteemed faculty members, whose presence further emphasized the event’s significance.

This session reinforced our mission to equip future professionals with essential career skills. As we continue to foster an environment of growth, learning, and opportunity, The Career Boost serves as a reminder that with the right tools, guidance, and mindset, our students are well-equipped to navigate the professional world and unlock their full potential.

Needle Innovation Challenge x Army IBA: Empowering Women & Innovating Bangladesh’s RMG Sector

On July 26, 2023, I had the privilege of leading the collaboration between the Army IBA Career Enhancement Club and Build Bangladesh to host the Needle Innovation Challenge, a groundbreaking initiative focused on empowering women and fostering innovation in Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector. The event welcomed 120+ participants, including students, faculty, and industry professionals, with distinguished guests such as Professor Maj Gen Mohammad Quamruzzaman (Retd.), Maj Syed Seajul Huque (Retd.), and Jinia Afroz Sharmin.

The seminar explored sustainability, technological advancements, and gender inclusivity, sparking insightful discussions on reshaping the industry. Special awards were presented to five outstanding participants, and certificates of appreciation were given to expert speakers, including BM Banjir and Aninda Jatirmay, for their valuable contributions.

This initiative highlighted the immense potential of Bangladesh’s RMG sector, reinforcing the need for collaboration and innovation to create a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Level Up – Season 1: Empowering Future Leaders Through Skill Development

As the President of the Army IBA Career Enhancement Club, I spearheaded “Level Up – Season 1”, a flagship member development program designed to equip students with essential professional skills. Over three consecutive sessions, our leadership team conducted interactive workshops covering key competencies:

The Communicator’s Edge – Led by Tanvir Mahtab (President), this session focused on effective communication techniques, helping members build confidence in professional settings.

Art of Design – Led by Suchana Das (Vice President), this workshop provided practical insights into the creative process, introducing key design principles for branding and visual communication.

With 50+ Career Enhancement Club members trained in communication, design, and event strategy, Level Up – Season 1 successfully set the foundation for future leadership and career growth. This initiative reaffirms our commitment to nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and empowering students to excel in their professional journeys.

BIG 2023 Activation Campaign: Igniting Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The Bangabandhu Innovation Grant (BIG) 2023 Activation Campaign at the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka, was an engaging and inspiring session that highlighted the immense potential of innovation and entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. The event provided a platform to explore groundbreaking ideas and encourage visionary thinkers to bring their solutions to life.

As representatives of the Army IBA Career Enhancement Club, we were honored to be part of this initiative, hosted by the Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) project of the Bangladesh Computer Council under the ICT Division. The session shed light on the BDT 1 Crore grand prize and BDT 10 Lac grants for the top 50 startups, emphasizing the significance of financial and institutional support in fostering entrepreneurship.

The energy and enthusiasm at the event reaffirmed the importance of nurturing innovation-driven enterprises. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the organizers for this incredible opportunity and look forward to seeing transformative ideas emerge from BIG 2023.

An incredible opportunity to attend the Leaders’ Masterclass – MarketingNEXT hosted by Grameenphone Academy at GP House. This insightful session, led by Md. Sajjad Hasib, CMO of Grameenphone Ltd., was an eye-opening experience that provided a deeper understanding of modern marketing strategies, leadership dynamics, and industry trends. Learning directly from an industry expert of his caliber was truly inspiring, as he shared invaluable lessons on how brands can stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Industrial Visit to Ha-Meem Group: A Comprehensive Learning Experience

On August 1, 2022, I had the privilege of participating in an industrial visit to Ha-Meem Group, one of Bangladesh’s leading garment manufacturers, organized by Army Institute of Business Administration (Army IBA), Savar. This visit proved to be an exceptional learning experience, offering firsthand exposure to key aspects of the textile industry.

Throughout the visit, I gained invaluable insights into the various phases of textile production, including weaving, spinning, dyeing, and finishing. Ha-Meem Group also demonstrated its advanced supply chain management processes, quality control measures, and impressive sustainability practices that are vital to the success of the industry.

What made this visit even more special was the opportunity to engage directly with workers and managers across different departments. These interactions gave me a clearer understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in running a large-scale manufacturing operation. I also had the chance to learn about Ha-Meem Group’s journey, its growth trajectory, and their future plans, which were incredibly motivating and inspiring. This visit was a valuable experience that not only expanded my understanding of the textile industry but also deepened my appreciation for the complexity of manufacturing operations.

Connecting Classrooms III – Fostering Global Collaboration in Education

The Connecting Classrooms III project, a flagship global education program by the British Council in partnership with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, has successfully empowered young people with the skills needed for a globalized world. Launched in 2009, this initiative has supported 3,000 teachers and 600 school leaders in Bangladesh, enhancing education and preparing students for the future.

In 2015, the program reached new heights with a dynamic exchange between students and educators from the UK and Bangladesh. Key participants like Abbey Tonkinso, Aran Hendren, and Gill Bushell visited Government Laboratory High School, fostering cross-cultural learning and inspiring both Bangladeshi and UK students. This exchange deepened global connections and highlighted the power of international collaboration in education.

Through initiatives like this, Connecting Classrooms III successfully strengthened international ties, equipped educators, and inspired students, reinforcing the program’s lasting impact on global education.

Careerist On Air: Connecting Global Professionals with Army IBA

Careerist On Air, an initiative by Army IBA Career Enhancement Club, serves as a premier platform connecting students with industry professionals from around the world. This series aims to provide insightful discussions on key career topics, offering students a deeper understanding of global career trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Session 1: Effective Business Negotiation – Led by Mr. Warren Green, CEO of Green Jeans (Montreal, Canada), this session explored strategies for navigating complex business negotiations, providing invaluable lessons for students aspiring to excel in the corporate world.

Session 2: Scholarships in Europe – Mr. M Redwan Hasan, Doctoral Researcher at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), delivered an informative session on European scholarships, guiding students towards global educational opportunities.

Bridging Cultures Through Language with Alliance Française de Dhaka

Learning a language is more than just mastering vocabulary and grammar—it’s an immersive experience that opens doors to new cultures, perspectives, and opportunities. As I advance through my Diploma in Étude de Langue Française (B1.4) at Alliance Française de Dhaka, this journey has been a transformative experience, equipping me with both linguistic proficiency and cross-cultural awareness.

Engaging with diverse learners and native speakers, I have immersed myself in interactive workshops, cultural events, and conversation clubs, refining my ability to communicate effectively in French. Beyond structured learning, participating in French rehearsals, role-playing exercises, and collaborative projects has strengthened my fluency, confidence, and adaptability in real-world scenarios.

This experience extends beyond language—it has enabled me to connect with French-speaking professionals, explore Francophone cultures, and gain insights into international markets. As I continue towards fluency, I remain committed to leveraging language as a tool for global collaboration, cultural exchange, and professional growth.
